Crystals have been cherished for centuries as tools for healing, magic and personal empowerment. In 2026, the collective energy is shifting toward emotional wellness, spiritual sovereignty and intentional living. And the crystals people are gravitating toward reflect just that.
Whether you're building your collection, starting your journey or looking for a boost in your magical practice, here are the top trending crystals of 2026 and how to use them to align with the energies of the year.
We'll also take a look at tools and supplies to consider if you're looking to expand your crystal collection.

Lepidolite: The Soothing Crystal for Emotional Balance

Crowned as the 2025 Crystal of the Year, Lepidolite is your go-to ally for calming anxiety and restoring emotional balance. Rich in lithium, it's ideal for stressful times, energy shifts and when you need to center yourself.
This soft lavender crystal is known to gently ease nervous tension and support emotional regulation. It resonates with the heart, third eye and crown chakras, helping to clear away emotional blockages and old thought patterns.
Lepidolite is a stone I was drawn to many years ago when I felt my anxiety picking up. I like to keep one in my pocket during stressful times. Just having it near helps me to feel calmer.
Use it for:
Stress relief and emotional regulation
Meditation and sleep
Supporting shadow work
Easing transitions and emotional detox
Labradorite: For Psychic Protection and Intuition
Known for its mystical flash, Labradorite is a favorite among empaths and energy workers. It shields the aura while opening up intuitive pathways, making it an excellent crystal for divination and dreamwork.

Labradorite carries the magic of the Northern Lights within its structure, often showing iridescent flashes of blue, green and gold.
Variations of purple can even be found. It’s deeply protective, shielding the aura from negative influences while enhancing psychic abilities and spiritual awareness.
Labradorite is one of my favorite stones. It is said to aid in transformation. I feel drawn to it when life seems to be changing faster than I can keep up.
Use it for:
Enhancing intuitive gifts
Protecting your energy field
Boosting creative inspiration
Deepening meditation and dream recall
Carnelian: The Fire Starter of Motivation
This fiery orange crystal is all about courage, confidence and vitality. It's trending among creatives, entrepreneurs and those seeking to manifest goals with boldness.
Carnelian stimulates the sacral chakra, igniting your inner fire and pushing you toward bold action. It’s also a stone of passion and endurance, making it ideal for anyone pursuing a big goal or navigating a major life transition.
Use it for:
Motivation and goal-setting
Energizing the sacral chakra
Creative expression
Building confidence and sexual energy
Rose Quartz: Unconditional Love and Heart Healing

Forever a favorite, Rose Quartz is surging again as people prioritize healing from heartbreak, building self-love and deepening relationships.
Its gentle energy supports forgiveness and compassion.
This soft pink crystal radiates loving energy and is deeply connected to the heart chakra. It encourages healing of emotional wounds, opening you up to give and receive love freely.
During times of grief, I like to keep a rose quartz near as I work through the ebb and flow of emotions. It can help you feel the self-love that is needed during times of grief or loss.
Use it for:
Attracting or healing love
Emotional soothing and inner child work
Creating a loving home altar
Promoting compassion and forgiveness
Amethyst: Spiritual Clarity and Calm

Beloved for its serene vibration, Amethyst is still a top choice for spiritual seekers.
It promotes peaceful energy and mental clarity and it’s perfect for both beginners and advanced practitioners.
Amethyst connects to the third eye and crown chakras, making it a powerful tool for meditation, dreamwork and intuitive development.
Amethyst is traditionally associated with sobriety, balance and spiritual clarity.
Keep an amethyst near your bed to help promote restful sleep and dreams.
Use it for:
Meditation and spiritual practices
Calming anxiety or overthinking
Enhancing dreams and intuition
Balancing emotions and addiction recovery
Moonstone: Divine Feminine and Emotional Insight
Moonstone, especially Rainbow Moonstone, is rising in popularity for those wanting to honor the sacred feminine, tap into lunar cycles and trust their intuition more deeply.
One of my favorite stones and in the same family as labradorite, this shimmering stone is tied to the moon and feminine energy, making it perfect for those exploring their inner wisdom and emotional rhythms.
Moonstone is traditionally associated with feminine energy, emotional cycles and lunar rhythms.
Use it for:
Honoring your intuition and inner wisdom
Emotional balance and hormonal harmony
Moon rituals and cycles
Fertility, menstrual health and new beginnings
Malachite: Transformation and Deep Healing
Malachite’s rich green hues reflect its power to detoxify and transform. As people release old patterns and embrace change, this stone supports healing at the heart and soul level.
Malachite is a potent stone of protection and transformation. It is thought to draw out deep emotional wounds and negative energies from the body and aura, making it ideal for shadow work and releasing trauma.
Use it for:
Releasing trauma or toxic patterns
Protection during major life changes
Chakra healing, especially the heart and solar plexus
Breaking free from unhealthy relationships
Citrine: Attracting Success and Joy
Citrine's warm, sunny energy makes it the ultimate crystal for manifesting abundance and maintaining a positive mindset. It’s trending again as people seek prosperity and clarity.
Often called the "merchant's stone," Citrine energizes every level of life. It clears negative energy, inspires confidence, and enhances mental focus, all while drawing abundance your way.
Citrine is a form of quartz like amethyst. Many citrines on the market today are actually heat-treated amethyst. Natural citrine has a natural, even color whereas dyed citrine may have more abrupt color changes.
Use it for:
Manifestation and business success
Boosting energy and mood
Charging your sacred space with joy
Clearing blocks in the solar plexus chakra
Obsidian: Grounding and Psychic Protection

In uncertain times, obsidian offers grounding and energetic protection.
Its reflective surface acts like a spiritual mirror, helping you identify and clear negative energy.
This volcanic glass is a stone of deep truth. It can unearth hidden emotions and patterns, while simultaneously shielding you from psychic attacks and energetic vampires.
There are many different types of obsidian: snowflake, mahogany and rainbow to name a few. Each one has its own specific properties, but all obsidian has a protective quality to it.
Use it for:
Protection in spiritual work
Cutting cords or energetic ties
Shadow work and inner truth
Grounding after intense energy work
Clear Quartz: Amplify Everything

Clear Quartz remains a classic favorite and for good reason.
It’s a master healer and energy amplifier, making it ideal for any intention or combination with other stones.
This crystal harmonizes with all chakras, making it incredibly versatile.
It can be programmed with your intention and used to enhance the effects of other crystals or rituals.
Clear quartz can be used in place of most different types of stones due to it’s ability to take on any color.
Some clear quartz also have rainbow inclusions in them. This is often due internal fractures in the stone. People sometimes believe this amplifies the "master healer" traits.
Use it for:
Charging and programming with intentions
Amplifying other crystals
Daily energetic resets
Creating custom crystal grids
Crystal Tools & Supplies for Your Practice
You don't need a lot of supplies to work with crystals. A few simple tools can make it easier to incorporate them into meditation, rituals, divination and everyday spiritual practice. If you're building your collection, these are some of the tools I find especially useful.
Crystal Pouches or Bags
A small crystal pouch is perfect for carrying your favorite stones with you without having them loose in your purse or pocket. I especially like using pouches when I want to carry a particular crystal throughout the day or keep stones separated from one another.
Just remember, be careful placing too many crystals in a bag together because some can scratch each other. I know a lot of people that like the organza bags. And they are nice because you can usually see through them, but I like thicker pouches like these velvet ones.
While this is technically a makeup bag, I love the look of this and will use it to carry my tarot cards and a couple crystals in.
Crystal Grids
Crystal grids combine crystals with sacred geometry and intentional placement. They're a beautiful way to focus your energy on a particular goal, whether you're working with abundance, protection, love, healing or spiritual growth.
You don't need an elaborate setup - a simple grid with a few stones and a clear intention can be a meaningful addition to your altar or meditation practice.
Pendulums
Pendulums are commonly used for divination, energy work and intuitive practices. You can use one to explore yes/no questions, check the energy of a space or simply practice developing your intuition.
Choose a pendulum that you're naturally drawn to. Clear quartz, amethyst, rose quartz and various other stones can all make beautiful pendulums.
Crystal Jewelry
Wearing a crystal is one of the easiest ways to incorporate stones into your everyday life. Crystal necklaces, bracelets and rings allow you to keep a stone close while going about your day.
I particularly like crystal jewelry when I want to work with a specific intention without having to remember to carry a loose stone.
A Crystal or Spiritual Journal
A journal might not technically be a crystal tool, but it's one of my favorite additions to a spiritual practice. Record the crystals you're working with, your intentions, dreams, meditation experiences and anything you notice over time.
Keeping notes can also help you discover which stones you're naturally drawn to and how your relationship with them changes.
A Crystal Guidebook
If you're just beginning to explore crystals, a good reference book can be incredibly helpful. Look for one that covers crystal identification, traditional associations, cleansing methods and ways to incorporate stones into your practice.
I love the "Crystal Bible," by Judy Hall. You can buy each volume separately or all three volumes together.
Just remember that crystal properties vary widely between traditions, so consider these associations a starting point for your own exploration rather than a set of rules.
Final Thoughts
Crystals are more than pretty stones, they’re energetic allies for healing, growth and transformation. Whether you’re drawn to Lepidolite’s calm or Citrine’s glow, the key is to work with your crystals intentionally and often. Let them guide you toward your best self in 2026.
